Winter, nature and culture tourism potential in Ardahan is very high. Ardahan has numerous historical and natural beauties with its Yalnızçam Ski Center, Posof Wildlife Sanctuary, Akçakale Island, Çıldır and Aktaş Rivers and 55 castles and towers, each of which has different sizes. Ardahan Yalnızçam Area was announced as tourism center by Council of Ministers’ decision in 2010 and the infrastructure works of the center were completed. There are one chairlift (3.000 mt) and 2 teleski lines in Yalnızçam Ski Center and there is a hotel with the capacity of 74 beds operated by Ardahan Special Provincial Administration in the ski center. There are 4 lands for hotel investors and 1 land for one-day facility investors in the ski center. 149.507 foreigh passenger transportation was carried out through Aktaş and Türközü Boundary Door in 2017 and especially Ardahan city center, Çıldır and Posof provides accommodation, food-beverage and shopping opportunities for the passengers.
